To take full advantage of the Gift of the Tree event, you'll want to actively seek out and chain Whispers. Here's how to do it efficiently:
1. Combine With Helltides
Helltides offer an incredibly dense monster population, making it easy to complete Whispers that involve:
Killing enemies in a zone
Gathering Motes
Defeating mini-bosses
The Blood Maiden encounter is especially juicy - defeating her grants five Grim Favors, making it one of the fastest ways to progress your Whisper meter.
2. Use the Map Filter
The in-game map marks all active Whispers clearly. Look for clusters - sometimes two or three Whispers are near each other, making it easy to complete several in a single run without extra travel.
3. Pair With Seasonal Objectives
